The additives, for improving adhesion of plaster to non-porous insulating materials in mfr. of panels or sheets for refrigerated chambers, roofing, false ceilings, and air chambers, are made by (a) mixing iodine sulphate with one part water at around 90 deg.C; (b) cooling the mixt.; (c) incorporating zinc pyrothionate and fillers into the soln.; and (d) adding the remaining water to ensure complete dispersion and give a liq. prod. which modifies the plaster structure.
