Unit characterised in that it consists of a modular construction composed of a feeder, a frequency converter and a polarisation discriminator, these elements being integrated in a compact block which is mounted in the centre of the microwave aerial in a manner independent of the diameter of the aerial, the said construction being able to receive a second converter in order to use the unit with two polarisations, a link between the polarisation discriminator and the frequency converter being made by means of a microstrip-guide transition (1, 6), which transition provides the electrical insulation to the input of the converter.
