Acid hardening mixt. for low shrinkage mastic based on the reaction product of furfuryl alcohol with a resole having at least 0.5-CH2OH gps. per phenolic OH contains (A) a resole/ furfuryl alcohol binder based on (a) a trifunctional phenol or a mixt. of (a) with (b) 3-20C alkyl and/or aralkyl phenols or an arylphenol with up to 70 mol.% of substd. phenol (b) based on the sum of (a)+(b), in which more than 0.4 mol. furfuryl alcohol per -CH2OH gp. are reacted and (B) at least one reactive diluent present in the wt. ratio of (0.4-1.5):1 of (A). Pref. a filter (C) and a hardener (D) is present in which the wt. ratio between (A)+(B) and (C)+(D) is 1:(1-7), pref. 1:(1.5-5).
