Recovery of selenium and tellurium from anodic copper slimes

Se and Te are oxidatively dissolved from anode slimes from which Cu has been removed, by contacting with dil. aq. mildly acidic 11202 soln. of at least 2 moles H2Os per mole of Te and Se at elevated temp. to effect controlled oxidn. of Te and Se to oxidn. state IV. Aq. H2O2 soln. pref. has a pH not above 5 throughout, and has a concn. 5-15 wt.%
