CODING DNA FRAGMENTS FOR POLYPEPTIDS CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE ANTIGENIC DETERMINANT OF PAPILLOMAVIRUS, SPECIALLY OF TYPE HPV LA AND CORRESPONDING POLYPEPTIDS

摘要

DNA fragments encoding polypeptides containing at least one antigenic determinant of papillomavirus, particular-ly type HPV 1a and corresponding polypeptide. SHORT DNA fragment whose expression product in a suitable microorganism contains at least one of the epitopes of the papillomaviruses. It is charac-terized in that it comprises a nucleotide sequence, itself enclosed or similar to that contained either in the L1 region or in the L2 region, or else partly in the L1 region and partly in the L2 region of one of the papillomavirus genome strands com-bears and which are capable of coding for viral structural proteins or polypeptides having in common with these proteins a sequence containing at least one antigenic deter-undermining characteristic of papillomavirus.
