18ABSTRACT:"Multiprocessor computer system comprising n parallel-operating computer modules, and computer module for usein such a multiprocessor computer system".A multiprocessor computer comprises n parallel-operating computer modules which each comprise a processormodule, a memory module and a data word reconstructionmodule. The data words are applied to a reducing encoderso that code symbols stored in the relevant computer mo-dules form a code word. The relevant error-correction codehas a simultaneous correction capability in at least twocode symbols. Each data word reconstruction module receivesthe entire code word in order to reconstruct the dataword therefrom. Each computer module also comprises aninput/output memory module. This module receives a codeddata word which is decoded when it is presented again.Decoding is performed so that each bit in the input/outputmemory is mapped on at the most one bit of the associatedmemory module.
