AbstractThe present invention refers to a method for sensingchanges in the filtering effect of filtering devices (2)for separation of contaminations from gaseous streams withindication of the changes by means of signal emittance. Theinvention further refers to a device for carrying out themethod. To achieve a considerably more sensitive sensingfunction,changes in voltage-between filtering means (5)of the filtering device (2) are sensed, and signals are emit-ted when a certain change in voltage takes place. A simpleand reliable device to carry out the method includes a con-trol circuit (9) in which resonance voltage from filtercells (5) of the filtering device (2), influence signalemitting comparators (15-18) for emittance of light, soundand control signals in dependance upon changes in voltagebetween the filter cells (5).
