A RESTRICTOR DEVICE FOR THE OPENING MOVEMENT OF A PIVOTAL WINDOW SASH

A coupling link (16) inserted between the main frame (1) and the sash (5) of a window for restricting the opening movement of the sash is at its lower end rotatably connected with the sash (5) and is at its upper end provided with a pin (17) that is pivotal and displaceable in a guide slit of a plate (9) mounted on the main frame. The guide slit comprises a relatively short top section (10) and a longer and narrower lower section (11), and the pin (17) has two portions (18, 19) with diameters corresponding to the width of the first and the second slit section, respectively. The coupling link (16) is biased inwardly towards the fixture plate (9) and in order to allow the pin (17) to pass from the largest to the narrowest slit section said bias force must be overcome by manually operating the coupling link (16) so that the pin portion (19) with the smallest diameter is located in the slit (10, 11).
