A disposable flexible bag with internal filters, compartments and reagents, and having a transparent wall is used to filter, process and examine microscopically the filtrate or residue without reopening the pocket. The fluid sample passes from one compartment to the other or through the filters, and the reagents are released as a result of the pressure exerted when the pouch is rolled.
