The pulsed laser has a gain medium (21) between a mirror (27) and a mirror (30) to phase conjugation by four-wave mixing. The non-linear medium of the mirror (30) is constituted by a portion of the laser medium (21) through a lens (31). The mirror (30) is pumped by the direct beam of a continuous wave laser (20) and the beam reflected on the mirror (27). The light emission of the laser exits through an optical isolator (28). The laser of the invention is well suited for heterodyne telemetry.
