SHAFT-MOUNTED SNAP LOCK ASSEMBLY AND TOOL

Assembly locking devices by pressure which can be mounted on a shaft without passing through one end of the shaft. The assembly (10, 12) comprises two segments whose size and shape are used to enclose the shaft and which lock by pressing against one another. The shaft may be a rod, bolt or the like. Different adapters (80, 92, 96) are designed to accommodate the assembly of non-threaded shafts (90). A tool (50) was also designed to release the pressure lock assembly.
