A mirror mount of this type is provided with a pin joint (8, 9), which can be pivoted about a vertical axis, and with an assembly surface (30). A joint situated immediately adjacent to the frame of the auxiliary mirror takes the form of a self-locking ball-and-socket joint (2), the pin joint (8, 9) being arranged between the ball-and-socket joint (2) and the assembly surface (30). Furthermore, there is provided a rod (3) which has a vertical longitudinal axis and is displaceably guided in a sleeve (4), while another support (6) is designed to have a horizontal longitudinal axis.
