The string actuated fuse has waterproof percussion cap and a delay arrangement for igniting fuse cords and delay charges. The percussion cap does not contain mercury compound and it has a low storage life also under extreme variable climatic conditions. The explosive charge which consists of lead trinitroresorcinate is not corrosive. The percussion cap support (1) is arranged under the firing pin (3. 1). This support holds the percussion cap (2) which is sealed with foil and it is held by rigid peened over metal flange. The blast from the percussion cap which is fired by the firing pin is reduced, braked or deflected for delaying purposes by the shape of the chamber below the percussion cap. This chamber may have an orifice type outlet or a deflecting outlet.
