Appts. for placing adjacent to the moist air outlet of a cooling tower filler for preventing spray losses has a first cell-shaped part with a plurality of elongated moist air passages oriented to collect moist air from the outlet, and a first air deflection path arranged at an angle to the initial path of the moist air from the outlet, the air moving along a first vector towards the dating plane; a second cell device is adjacent to the first part. and has a plurality of elongated moist air passages, and a second air deflection path oriented to collect moist air leaving the first cell device, the air moving along a vector at an angle relative to the datum plane. Appts. collects a considerably part of the water particles in the moist air stream, even when this moves at a relatively high velocity. The water drains from the collection zone so that this remains unblocked.
