272694ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA photosensitive member having at least two electricallyoperative layers is disclosed. The first layer comprises a photo-conductive layer which is capable of photo-generating holes andinjecting photo-generated holes into a contiguous charge transportlayer. The charge transport layer comprises an electricallyinactive organic resinous material containing from about 15 toabout 75 percent by weight of N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(phenyl-methyl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diamine. The charge transportlayer while substantially non-absorbing in the spectral region ofintended use, is "active" in that it allows injection of photo-generated holes from the photoconductive layer, and allows theseholes to be transported through the charge transport layer. Thisstructure may be imaged in the conventional xerographic mode whichusually includes charging, exposure to light and development.
