Appts. used comprises a multi-channel pump, a mixer and a measuring chamber. In addition, an auxiliary measuring chamber is connected by an auxiliary pipeline to a channel of the multi-channel pump; a two-way valve (I) is incorporated in the auxiliary line and also in a line connecting the mixer to the first principal measuring chamber. In one position, this valve (I) connects the main measuring chamber to the mixer and connects the auxiliary measuring chamber to the multi-channel pump; while in the other position it connects the main measuring chamber to the pump and also connects the auxiliary measuring chamber to the mixer. Esp. used in biochemistry, in medicine, molecular biology and in the control system of a nuclear reactor. A five-fold increase in sensitivity is obtd. at half the cost of previous systems. Much faster flowing fluids can be measured.
