In order to achieve rapid and reliable cold starting at low outdoor temperatures, at which the capacity of the battery falls to approximately 50-60%, a simple device is proposed, which makes it possible to operate the starting pilot from the driver's cab. The device is simple, largely maintenance-free, easy to fit in any common passenger vehicle or truck, cost-effective to manufacture, protects the battery and starter, increases the convenience and saves time. The glow resistor is safeguarded and engine wear reduced.
