Partition wall, comprising PVC hollow-chamber profiles, for the flexible subdivision of sports halls and other areas

In order to improve the sound insulation in the case of a flexible partition in sports halls and other areas, PVC hollow-chamber profiles are suspended horizontally from the ceiling and are horizontally connected by means of Trevira fabric or the like. Furthermore, the necessary number of profiles are fitted together in order to fill the entire width of the area. A partition wall is thus obtained which has excellent noise-insulating values and which can also, if required, effectively subdivide relatively large areas, e.g. sports halls having a hall cross-section of 27 x 7 m. The service value of, for example, sports-hall partitions is thus substantially increased. Furthermore, costs for expensive additional equipment such as, for example, sound-absorbing installations can be eliminated by using these partition walls. Even where flower-auctioning halls are concerned, energy costs can be cut down since partitioning of the individual halls in terms of temperature is more effective than that provided by artificial-leather pleated curtains.
