Apparatus for the concealed laying of rodent traps in a forest

An apparatus is specified for the environmentally friendly and concealed laying of poisoned bait in order to combat mice which are harmful to forest. The apparatus comprises an elongated cuboidal hollow body (11), the smallest side faces (4) of which are open. The cross-sectionally wider side (1) of said hollow body is placed on the forest ground such that the mice can run in through the open sides (4). A shorter, upwardly open bait box (6) is pushed, so as to lock, into the centre of the hollow body (11). The contents of the bait box are protected from the weather by those elements of the hollow body (11) which project over the bait box (6). The upper edge of the bait box (6) is at such a distance from the roof (2) of the hollow body (11) that only mice, but not larger animals, can slip in. The base (1) of the hollow body (11) exhibits a plurality of holes (5), beneath the bait box, for channelling rainwater away. An interspace through which the rainwater can flow away is situated between the base (1) of the hollow body (11) and the base of the bait box (6).
