The electric switching device comprises at least one leaf spring mounted in a curved position between the internal surface of a casing and the opposite surface of a member mounted pivotally about an axis parallel to the axis of the casing and carrying an electric contact member. The leaf spring is fixed on the internal surface of the casing by the head of a screw with a tightening nut. A stop member is interposed between the spring end and the internal surface of the casing and is provided with a recess of a shape complementary to the shape of the spring end so as to lock the spring end in the recess. A stop mechanism is provided integral with the casing and comprises a flat stop surface perpendicular to the internal surface of the casing, upon which bears a planar lateral surface of the head.
