A grommet (7) for the location of cables at the transfer point through a vehicle bulkhead, is provided with a set of location holes (1). The oval shaped base (2) is provided with a shroud (3) to produce a cup shaped chamber (6). The underside of the hole base (2) is provided with a thin membrane (5) that is pierced when the cable is inserted. When all cables are installed, the space (6) is filled with a permanent elastic substance that acts as sealer.
