The steering wheel 12 acts on the torsion tube 13 and the pulley 14 which drives the cable 16 guided by the two pulleys 15 for driving the pulley 17 which is integral with the torsion tube 11. This tube bears, at each end, two pinions 20 which act simultaneously on the rack gears fixed onto the transverse shafts 6. It follows that the circular movements of the steering wheel 12 are translated into linear movements of the shafts 6, to left and to right, these movements are transmitted to the structure of the wing by means of ball joints articulated onto the clevises fixed to the tubes joined in a V at their meeting point with the leading edge tube. The tubes transmit the movement which they receive from the shaft 6 to the leading edges. IMAGE
