The imprinting machine having a bed 1 on which is composed an imprinting plate by means of characters in relief which may come from a credit card 7 or from identity plaques 2 or from characters mounted on movable character-bearing wheels 3. A carriage with rollers 6 reveals the impression of the printing plate on a form 22 by passing above the bed 1 and being guided by slides 5, the rollers being put under pressure when drawn from left to right. On this basic machine a lamp holder 12 is fixed installed along the length of the bed of the machine, or a lamp 10 with ultraviolet rays is placed, lighting of which is triggered by the backwards movement of the carriage 6 coming to act on a microcontact 11 by the use of a finger 27. The lamp goes out as soon as the handle of the carriage is released, and comes into rest position under the action of a lever 21 pushed by the spring 20. The UV tube being placed just above the area to be revealed of a credit card 7 in which are placed luminescent substances which reemit a red-green or blue phosphorescence. IMAGE
