The equipment comprises a first system 6 for directing the laser beam onto the projectile 7 and for recovering the light sent back by it, an interferometer 14 for measurement, and a second system 10, a 13, 22, 23, 25 for forming the laser beam, receiving the light recovered by the first system and directing this light to the interferometer. The light is propagated between the first and second systems through a single optical waveguide 4, 8, 11 whose ends are connected respectively to the first and second systems. IMAGE
