Novel method for searching for component parts or products between professionals of the same branch, by interactive videography with the facility of individual updating. The invention of this novel method relates to professional businesses which are all in search of component parts or products. A server collects all the products and all the component parts in its magnetic memory. It classifies them by references and by sites. The users, making use of the installed videotext terminal, inform this server of the parts and products available, which records them, and, on the other hand, inversely, the users (service suppliers) find the locations or the location where these parts and products which they seek are situated. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to supply very rapid information on the subject of the availability and on the subject of the storage location. All the service suppliers then have the possibility of having better stock rotation as far as specific scarce or out-of-date parts are concerned, or as far as equipment is concerned. The technique of the megacomputer server and the teletel network allows the interaction. The result of this is that the services by the suppliers are better and their repair capabilities are enhanced.
