The fundamental principle of the process according to the invention consists in fragmenting into cells one or more ordinary explosive materials and in isolating these active cells 1 from one another using one or more inert, semi-inert or practically not inert materials 2, according to a regular, semi-regular or irregular order, to maintain intervals between them and prolong the explosion in time. The explosion of the first cell is caused by the primer 3 and is communicated to the neighbouring cells which has the purpose of prolonging the effects of the shocks. The process according to the invention is intended in particular for the destruction of military targets (personnel and structures), for exploration of mineral and oil-bearing sites and for fracturing rocks and ice.
