PREPARATION OF ANHYDROUS LITHIUM PERCHLORATE

摘要

PURPOSE:To prepare anhydrous lithium perchlorate by removing water easily and with high efficiency by holding crystals of lithium perchlorate contg. usual degree of adhered water under reduced pressure at a specified temp. for a necessary time. CONSTITUTION:A basic lithium compd. such as lithium hydroxide, etc., is added to aq. soln. of perchloric acid, and the soln. is concentrated by heating after the pH of the soln. is adjusted to ca. 7. The concentrated soln. is cooled and anhydrous lithium perchlorate is crystallized. Obtd. crystals of lithium perchlorate contg. ca. 5,000-10,000ppm water are crushed pref. to 4-30 mesh, heated at 150-230 deg.C with hot air, etc., and held under reduced pressure -20mmHg for a necessary time. The necessary time is decided depending on the amt., particle size, water content, of the material to be treated, the degree of evacuation, temp., etc., within a range from 30min to several hours. By the above-described treatment, anhydrous lithium perchlorate contg. =2,000ppm adhered water and being suitably used for material of lithium cell is obtd.
