PURPOSE:To improve the adiabatic characteristic between helium of normal and superfluidity by providing two individual containers for containing the two kinds of helium and a heat exchanger adapted to cool the latter with a heat of vaporization of the former by communicating them through a pipe. CONSTITUTION:First and second He containers 12 and 13 are housed in a bottomed cylindrical vessel 10 having a lid body 11 at the top opening. A heat exchanger 14 is housed in the container 13 and an auxiliary heat exchanger 15 connected thereto is set upright taken out of the container 13. The container 12 is arranged at the center of vessel 10 and provided with an He injection pipe 18 piercing the lid body 11 is provided to feed the He of normal fluidity. The container 13 is positioned below the container 12 and an He injection pipe 19 is connected thereto piercing through the lid body 11 and the container 12 to feed the He of superfluidity. The containers 12 and 13 are communicated through a valve 16. Thus, the He of superfluidity is cooled by utilizing the heat of vaporization of the He of normal fluidity.
