APPROACHING METHOD FOR HIGH SPEED DATA TO WIDE AREA VARIABLE IN RECURSIVE PROCEDURE

PURPOSE:To execute an access at a high speed to the corresponding data by holding a chain of a stack frame of all master blocks containing a recursive procedure, in the stack frame of its procedure. CONSTITUTION:In a stack frame 1, when it has been seen from a procedure which is being executed, addresses (upper most) an-a2 (under the direct control) of the stack frame 1 of all master blocks containing its procedure, and an own address a1 of its own procedure are stored as a static chain 2. This static chain 2 is stored in a fixed area in the stack frame 1. At the time of referring to a variable from the procedure which is being executed, an access is executed by obtaining the address of the master block, to which the variable has been declared, based on the static chain 2 of the own procedure.
