PURPOSE:To obtain strong bonding by a method wherein a layer of polymer grains, granules or pellets is placed, a layer of ultrahighmolecular polyethylene grains or granules is provided on the above-said layer and is heated and pressed at the melting point or above of crystals of the ultrahighmolecular weight polyethylene. In this manner, it is possible to obtain a polymer molded body that has a strong bonding on the boundary surface between the polymer and the ultrahighmolecular weight polyethylene and whose surface is coated with ultrahighmolecular weight polyethylene.
