INPUT AND OUTPUT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC JOURNAL

PURPOSE:To attain the easy retrieval of transaction data and to retrieve the latest transaction data of a fixed number in a short time, by providing an external memory means which stores all transaction data and a temporary memory means which stores temporarily the latest transaction data of a fixed number. CONSTITUTION:An electronic journal buffer 120 serving as an external memory device storing all transaction data is connected to a terminal control part 100 of a terminal equipment. In addition, the part 100 contains a temporary holding buffer 101 which stores the latest transaction data of a fixed amount (x). In a reading processing mode an electronic journal control part 105 first retrieves the buffer 101 and reads the data out of the buffer 120 to send them to an electronic journal output buffer 106 in case the designated items exceeds the (x) items stored in the buffer 101. The data sent to the buffer 106 are displayed on a CRT 130. Thus the transaction data can be easily retrieved with use of both buffers 120 and 101. Furthermore a fixed number of latest transaction data can be retrieved in a short time.
