METHOD FOR DECIDING STATE OF RECEPTION OF HIGH SPEED MODEM FOR FACSIMILE

PURPOSE:To make error check of data within an arbitrarily set limited extent by making counting of the quantity of input data and checking of error. CONSTITUTION:Number of bytes X of data to be error checked and number of bytes Y of data that position X are set from of all data of N bytes to be detected. (Normally, Y is made 0). Detection of presence/absence of error in a training signal is made by an error checker in unit of byte, and serial number N1-Nn of byte unit of data in which an error occurred are detected, and at the same time, number of bytes N of all data is counted by a counter 2. By these two points, presence/absence of error in data of arbitrary X bytes is determined by finding serial number X1-Xn of data of X bytes from X, Y, N and further, comparing these X1-Xn with serial number N1-Nn in which error occurred.
