PURPOSE:To prevent the falloff of the performance of a cell due to the lack of the electrolyte so as to elongate the life time of the cell body and enable the stable operation for a long term by fusing the solid electrolyte in a storage chamber to supply the fused electrolyte to the electrolyte plate of the cell by operating a heating device with the signal from a detector. CONSTITUTION:Lithium carbonate and pottasium carbonate are used as for the fused alkaline carbonate, and they are stored in a storage chamber 2 at a temperature lower than 498 deg.C, the melting point of the mixture of these salts. As for a detector 4 for detecting the lack of the electrolyte in the cell body a measuring device of the liquid resistance is used. When the liquid resistance becomes higher than a definite value this detector sends the signal to a relay switch 3, and a high temperature fluid, the heat source for fusing the electrolyte, is circulated in the outside of the storage chamber 2 along the arrow indicator, and the fusing of the electrolyte is initiated. And when the fused electrolyte is supplied sufficiently to the electrolyte plate of the cell body to decrease the liquid resistance, the high temperature fluid is stopped by the relay switch 3, thus the electrolyte is solidified again.
