PURPOSE:To compress a data quantity stored in a data base, by representing a work data generated in every period, by its transition state. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that a data shown in the figure has been generated, every transition of those data attributes is encoded, and held as a table in a center device 2. Subsequently, a variation C A of the attribute which has been generated in the fourth data of the present period (the eight period) is encoded from the transition table, and the transition code is stored in the data base 3 together with the transition period.
