GUIDING OF PILE OR PILE DRIVER BY CRANE SHIP

PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of operations by a method in which a wire sent out of the winch of a crane ship is inserted into a pile, its tip is connected to a counter track slidly moving along an existing pile, and the pile is lifted up by the wire and guided onto the top of the existing pile. CONSTITUTION:A vertically movable counter track 13 is set in an existing pile 8 inserted into the pile guide 7 of a jacket 1, and a lifting rope 14 is connected to the top of the track 13. The rope 14 is then inserted into a splicing pile 15 lifted up on the end of the crane jib 10 of a crane ship 9 and connected through a pulley 16 to a winch 17. When the pile 15 is lowered while moving the jib 10, the rocking movement of the pile 15 is preventedd by the track 13 and the lower end of the pile 15 is also guided. The pile 15 is then guided by the top of the pile 8 and connected to the pile 8.
