PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of a container by controlling the carbon content in an electrode consisting of an austenite stainless steel, etc., to a specified weight % or below, and also controlling the total boron quantity to prescribed ppm and moreover, controlling the 10B in the total B to specified ppm or below. CONSTITUTION:An external magnetic field is formed by providing a solenoid coil against an electrode, and buildup welding is executed under the stirring of a molten pool. In this case, the C content of an electrode for padding consisting of the austenite stainless steel, an Mo-contained and Nb-contained stainless steel or an Ni base alloy, etc., is controlled to =0.020%, and also the total B quantity is controlled to 6-60ppm. Also, 10B in the total B is limited to =0.4ppm. Since the quantity of the total B and the 10B quantity therein are controlled, respectively, a high temperature crack is prevented, and the corrosion resistance and the neutron irradiation embrittlement resistance characteristic of an atomic power container, etc., are improved.
