SHEARING TEST METHOD FOR INTERLAYER OF LAMINATE PLATE

PURPOSE:To easily and accurately measure the shearing strength between layers by using a laminate plate having original plate thickness as it is by using a jig consisting of a relatively thin and long male mold and a recessed female mold, and forming a groove where a test-piece is inserted in the surfaces of the both which contact each other. CONSTITUTION:The jig consists of the male mold in a relatively thin and long rectangular prism shape and the recessed female mold 2, and the male mold 1 is combined with the female mold 2 movably in the female mold 2 so that its lengthwise direction is perpendicular to the recessed part bottom surface of the female mold 2. Further, grooves with quadrilateral section where the test-piece 3 is inserted are formed in the surfaces of the male mold 1 and female mold 2 which contact each other at right angles to the lengthwise direction of the male mold 1. Those grooves are symmetrical on the right and left sides when the male mold 1 and female mold 2 are combined. The test-piece 3 is formed in such a rectangular rod shape that the ratio of width 9 and plate thickness 8 is 0.5-2 and length 7 is smaller than the depth of the male mold 1 and female mold 2, thereby preventing other compressive stress from being applied. Then, the test-piece 3 is inserted in right-left symmetrical relation so that the interlayer direction of the test-piece and the lengthwise direction of the male mold 1 are parallel to each other when the grooves of the male mold 1 and female mold 2 meet each other; and a load is placed on the male mold 1 to take an interlayer shearing test.
