ALUMINUM ALLOY MATERIAL HAVING SUPERIOR SUITABILITY TO CHEMICAL GALVANIZING AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To manufacture an Al alloy material having superior suitability to chemical galvanizing by adding specified amounts of Zn, Mg and Cu to Al. CONSTITUTION:The composition of an Al alloy ingot is composed of, by weight, 3-8% Zn, 1-4% Mg, 0.5-2% Cu and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. One or more among 0.05-0.5% Mn, 0.05-0.3% Cr and 0.05-0.3% Zr may be added to the composition. The alloy ingot is cold worked at =50% degree of working and annealed at 300-500 deg.C to obtain an Al alloy material having a recrystallized structure of =50mum grain size.
