RECTIFIER WITH HARMONIC WAVE SUPPRESSING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To preferably suppress harmonic waves irrespective of the construction of a transformer for a rectifier and the number of the order of the waves by providing the tertiary winding in the transformer to connect a self-excited inverter, and utilizing the DC output of the rectifier as the DC power source of the inverter. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 2 for a rectifier with the tertiary winding is connected with an AC power source 1 to supply a voltage through a rectifier 3 to a DC load 4. A self-excited inverter 5 is connected with the tertiary side of the transformer 2 for the rectifier, and a harmonic current is supplied as a DC energy source from the tertiary side to the primary side of the DC terminal 6 of the rectifier 3. The current is detected by a current transformer 7, and the harmonic wave components are produced to PWM-control the inverter 5 to generate a harmonic wave having reverse polarity to the harmonic wave, thereby injecting it from the tertiary side of the transformer 2.
