SELECTING DEVICE FOR OPTIMUM SECTION OF STEEL FRAME STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To minimize the margin of the section of each member by forming a data preparing device with an input device for handy constant table, a steel material list recorder and a various stress description recorder for a single member. CONSTITUTION:The handy constants A1Ai of the steel materials are recorded via an input device 2a for handy constant table for each steel material. Then only the unit weights W1-Wi are extracted out of data and recorded. Thus handy weights W1-Wi are calculated and rearranged in the numerical value order to be recorded in response to list numbers K1-Kn of the steel materials corresponding to the handy weights W1-Wi respectively. The steel materials recorded by the recorder 2b are rearranged in the order of smaller handy weights and recorded. The data are received from a various stress description recorder 2c and the steel material of the smallest weight. Then the number of this selected steel material is recorded to an optimum steel material display device 4.
