DELIVERY CONTROL METHOD OF SLIDE VALVE TYPE SCREW COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To make capacity control with a slide valve function effectively in a screw compressor equipped with a slide valve even when abrupt change occurs in the consumption flow rate by forming a bypass connecting the suction and discharge sides and by equipping the bypass with a normally closed valve. CONSTITUTION:Between a gas supply passage Gin and a discharge pressure part (surge tank) 5 of a main body 1 of a screw compressor equipped with a slide valve is formed a bypass BP equipped with a normally closed valve 12. In case of an abrupt change in the consumption flow rate, the normally closed valve 12 is opened to temporarily ease the flow rate change so that the slide valve, having operational delay, can be in the meantime effectively utilized for capacity control by moving the slide valve.
