The invention relates to a process for the treatment of waste paper, preferably of grade 9 (TGL 2751). The aim of the invention is to provide a pulp of deinked waste paper for the production of preferably graphic papers, wherein the proportion of waste paper in these surfaces can be raised beyond the known extent. The object of the invention is to abzulosesen more ink from the pulp and thus to improve the optical homogeneity of the deinked waste paper pulp. According to the invention, the object is achieved by adding oxygen and alkali to the deinked waste paper pulp for the reaction after the known dispersing and cleaning and removal of the released printing ink by a known heterocoagulation separation process.
