Removable supporting roller (2) for moving objects subject to heavy loads, e.g. for the dewatering drum (1) of a drum press. Known supporting systems have the disadvantage that rapidly wearing supporting rollers cannot be replaced without first lifting the object or apparatus supported by them. However, this is often difficult because of a shortage of space or a lack of lifting equipment. In the case of the supporting rollers according to the invention, this problem is solved by the formation of notches (5) at the ends of the axle (3) of the supporting roller (2), by mounting the axle (3) at the ends in slots in the supporting structure (8), and by locking the axle (3) non-rotatably by means of fastening members (4) mounted on the supporting structure (8) at the ends of the axle (3).
