In nuclear reactors having a reactor pressure vessel (1) and hydraulic drives (12) for control rods (10) which are operated by means of the reactor coolant via a control unit (15), which form the highest point (31) of distributing pipes (26), a venting line (32) with a substantially smaller cross-section than that of the control pipes (26) is provided. At the free end of this venting line (32) a non-return valve (34) is arranged, in order to avoid air or vapour being sucked in given an underpressure. IMAGE
