A fragmentation grenade comprises a cylindrical casing (5) for carrying a charge of explosive material (17). The casing has an open end (6) and a second, mainly closed end (7). A fragmentation body (8) envelopes the casing and has at least one fragmentation ring (9) with a number of axially oriented notches (2). The fragmentation ring(s) (9) are confined between unnotched first and second terminal members (10,11). The first terminal member (10) is annular and located near the first end (6) of the casing in a manner that prevents disengagement in a direction away from the second end of the casing. The second terminal member (11) is located near the second end (7) of the casing. A locking rivet (14) locks together the second terminal member and casing and a metal linear is for sealing off the charge of explosive material inside said casing.
