Pneumatic pipe sinking impulse rammer

The pneumatic impulse appliance is esp. for sinking metal tubes into the ground, as casings for supply ducts or cables. Its case contains a reciprocating striker, with end cavity, into which an air distributor protrudes. An anvil, on the case head side, absorbs the striker blows. At least one socket end encloses the head part of the case (1). The socket (6) is located coaxially in relation to the case and anvil (5), and the case head is clamped between the socket and the anvil. The socket pref. has its whole interior enclosing the case, while the anvil is self-clamped to the case by a conical joint, the surfaces in contact having their conical tips directed towards the side of the case head.
