A probe precursor consisting of a fragment of oligonucleotide of structure predetermined by the envisaged application, in which the reactive functional groups are optionally protected and which is optionally fixed to a support, characterised in that at least a part of the pyrimidine bases therein is replaced by groups X and/or at least a part of the purine bases therein is replaced by groups Y, the groups X and Y corresponding respectively to the formulae: IMAGE and IMAGE R denoting a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and the mixed probe obtained by disproportionation, in this precursor of X into U+C or T+Mec and of Y into G+NH2A. Application to biological analyses and to the extraction of RNA or DNA fragments.
