A B S T R A C TA method of controlling the ratio between the water flowrates in the primary and secondary circuits of hot waterheating systems, particularly of low-temperature hotwater heating systems, by mixing flow water with returnwater passing through an adjustable bypass by means of amulti-way mixing device. To make maximum use of therangeability of said mixing device and to optimize overallheating system control, the bypass water flow rate is con-trolled as a function of the mixing device position and thebypass is substantially closed when the way from the primarycircuit flow piping to the secondary circuit flow pipingis fully opened and/or an appropriate signal is given by theheating system controller.
