Process for removing from a lead chloride solution at least one of the metals chosen from the group consisting of nickel and copper on the one hand, and the group consisting of antimony, arsenic and tin d 'somewhere else. This process is characterized by the fact that to obtain a solution whose content of one of these elements is less than 50 mg per liter: the respective contents of said metals of said set are adjusted so that the concentration ratio, expressed in grams per liter, between nickel and copper on the one hand and one of the metals of said group consisting of antimony, arsenic and tin on the other hand, is between 10 and 1/10; and precipitating said metals from said set by contacting the solution with metallic lead.
