LOCALIZATION METHOD AND DEVICE ENABLING TO APPRECIATE DURING A LITHOTRITY THE DEGREE OF FRAGMENTATION OF STONES

The disclosed apparatus for localizing the fragments of stones is associated to a lithotrite comprising a spherical focussing cup (1) acting as a power transducer and an auxiliary transducer (2) subjected to a sectorial scanning and mounted at the center of said cup and coupled to an echography device (21-22-28). The apparatus comprises an auxiliary generator (360) for exciting the power transducer (1) with pulses generated at a frequency of a few hertz and at a power reduced with respect to that of the shootings. During the emission of said pulses with reduced power, the receiver (22) of the echographic device is connected to an auxiliary cathode tube (45) which forms an A echography image in order to localize the fragments of stones.
